For Bassoon and Voice

This piece was written for my own wedding in September of 2024. This composition is a tender, deeply personal piece that captures the essence of love, commitment, and our shared dreams. The melody gradually unfolds into a graceful theme that swells and grows, symbolizing the joining of two lives in intertwining harmony. The bassoon opens with a rich, lyrical melody that feels grounded and introspective, setting a tranquil, heartfelt atmosphere. As the vocalist enters, the voice and the bassoon blend in a tender dialogue. The lyrics, co-written by myself and my wife Rebecca, serve as a sort of second set of vows.
